Project Overview
The EU-funded NUVOIC project will deliver to the market two unique and complementary commercial products to the market: “Nuvoic Home” and “Nuvoic Shop”. With product launches slated for 2022 and 2023, the project will provide affected individuals an effective means to communicate with the people around them, as well as access to the benefits of mainstream voice-driven devices and technologies.

The Nuvoic partners will collaborate to productize and commercialise upgraded versions of Voiceitt’s core technology, including continuous ASR, to support mild dysarthria and ageing voices. IMEC will use its unique protocol for software integration of voice with connected home IoT infrastructure. Karten Network will recruit individuals with speech disabilities, support the pilots and coordinate demonstration of the Nuvoic Home and the Nuvoic Shop. P&G research teams and business units focusing on elderly consumers will provide consumer feedback and customer understanding methodologies, while validating DTC voice e-commerce Nuvoic Shop.
The Nuvoic consortium includes the UK-based Karten Network and Belgium-based IMEC are highly recognised institutions that bring deep customer understanding and technical knowledge; and e-commerce giant, Procter & Gamble, that will leveragebranding power, customer researchand marketing methods to propel market uptake.
Our Partners
The Karten Network is a network of over 100 IT centres for disabled people across the UK, Israel and Eire. In this project will serve as the Product validation & customer research. Karten Network will recruit individuals with speech disabilities, support the pilots and coordinate demonstration of the Nuvoic Home and the Nuvoic Shop.
The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is a multinational consumer goods corporation and specializes in a wide range of personal health/consumer health, and personal care and hygiene products. In this project will serve as the Customer Research & e-Commerce experts.
Imec is an R&D hub for nano- and digital technologies. In this project will serve as the Living Labs research & iOT infrastructure experts and use its unique protocol for software integration of voice with connected home IoT infrastructure.
